May 23 + 24, 2026
Houghton Hall Arts Community
(Re)discover the part of you that loves to perform! Join theatremakers Elle Lagalante & Crystal-Marie Alberson for a two-day, small group mini-retreat including vocal coaching, performance games, and a capstone showcase for friends and family.
What's This All About?
As theatremakers and performers ourselves, we know that life can pull you away from your performing arts practice. And when it happens, it's like a part of you is sleeping and you can't figure out how to wake it up. We designed this weekend-long mini-retreat to jump-start your return to your craft. If you've ever watched someone onstage and thought, "wow, I miss doing that," but have felt overwhelmed at the idea of starting over, this workshop is for you. That's because the best way to start over is, well, to start! That's why we'll be working in a small group (no more than 12 people) to rehearse and perform a showcase of your favorite songs for an audience of your friends and family. Here's what we'll be doing:Saturday 5/23
• Individual vocal and performance coaching with music director Elle Lagalante.
• Group acting exercises and performance direction with director Crystal-Marie Alberson.
• Group lunch & community building activities.Sunday 5/24
• Practice and hone your performance.
• Collectively set up our showcase.
• Perform for your friends and family in our free showcase.
